Environment Policy

The company is aware of the impact work activities have on the environment and will therefore seek to minimise the effect, wherever possible.

The company will provide training to all employees on environmental issues relating to the work activities conducted and the materials used.

The effect on the environment will be considered at the design and planning stage, where appropriate, prior to work commencing.

The materials used by the company often depend on the client’s or designer’s specifications. The company will liaise with the client or designer and, where relevant, suggest the use of alternative, environmentally friendly, or recycled materials.

Where acceptable to the client, recycled materials will be specified and used during the work activities.

The company will endeavor to recycle all waste materials created from work activities. Waste materials will be placed in suitable receptacles or skips and will be transferred to a licensed waste disposer for recycling.

Energy and fuel use will be monitored and, wherever possible, reduced in line with the company’s policy to minimise emissions and reduce energy consumption. Vehicle and plant engines will not be left running when not in use and lights will be switched off when not required.

Control measures will be implemented to prevent or contain leaks and spillages both at the company’s premises and on site, which will include spill kits, sand, etc.
